I had lost Helen Keller my deaf and blind Great Dane a few months before seeing an ad in the paper saying “ Rare white Great Dane” for sale. I couldn’t help but wonder if this Great Dane was special. It was love at first sight and I knew immediately that she was deaf and she probably would need me as much as I needed her. I made an offer on the little white pup and with in 20 minutes took her home. I thought about calling her Helen again but as everyone knows one animal can’t replace another. Then Ivory came to mind but it just didn’t fit. As we observed her playing, laying, sleeping and almost every other activity you could think of, we noticed she moaned a lot. Wa la “Moana” it was! She is every bit a part of Carousel Gardens as are the donkeys and she loves them so. Here she is in all her glory….
