    There is always that special friend, the one that touches you and they don’t even know the impact they have.  Vicki is my friend and she touches everyone she meets.  Her laugh is so catchy.  She listens when I need to talk and talks when I need to listen.  She extends herself with compassion and honesty.  She has a relationship with nature and society that is balanced and genuine. 

            Vicki and Lanny have been on their honeymoon for 35 years.  My friend is a devoted, loving, caring, and opinionated wife and mother of two sons.  She and her husband are retired and have settled on a small ranch in Northern California.  She loves the smell of the country and fresh air.

My friend reassured me when she became ill with lymphoma.  She protected her family and friends with a rational smile and positive thoughts. She handled the situation as she always had, forward through it instead of around it.  Lanny always by her side and protecting her from any unwanted invasion.

            I had never met a real heroin before.  At least I didn’t know it at the time. It is a strange feeling being honored by a friendship of someone so courageous as my friend Vicki.  Yes she cried sometimes and even became depressed for short periods of time, but always came out on top. 

            Through her fight against cancer she was always concerned and thoughtful of others.  She was surprised to receive cards and gifts from people she had touched with joy.  My friend is so humble and unaware of all her charm and enjoyable personality.  This page is dedicated to Vicki my friend who has beaten the demon and who still has a great smile and tells stupid jokes.

            Vicki is a true example of a friend, wife, mother, sister, and survivor.  She is also a natural performer and jokester.  I am so fortunate as is everyone to be a part of her life.  I just want to express my gratitude to Vicki for sharing her friendship with Pam, the Carousel Gardens Donkeys and with me!
